The same provisions that apply to family related Intervention Orders are applicable to non-family matters. Examples may be Intervention Orders in the workplace, neighbourhood disputes, or in business scenarios where threats have been alleged to have been made in relation to money owed.
What distinguished these type of matters is that the Police are less likely to be making the Application for an Intervention Order and therefore quite often such Applications can be resolved on the first court date by facilitating discussions and putting in place a solution, for example in the case of matters involving outstanding debts making a payment arrangement overseen by the solicitor’s office. |
